Degree: Graduate Certificate Program Type: Online Interest: Special Eduaction & Communication Disorders

The certificate will provide additional education for professionals interested in students with sensory disabilities. This program is offered online during the academic year.

The Graduate Certificate in Sensory Disabilities does not qualify the holder to apply for a Nebraska teaching endorsement in Deaf Education or Visual Impairment. Students interested in pursuing an endorsement in either Deaf Education or Visual Impairment will need to complete additional coursework. Students with a special education teaching certificate may add a practicum to this graduate certificate to be eligible for the Behavior Intervention Specialists supplemental endorsement from the Nebraska Department of Education. Transfer Credits

Each degree program within the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is responsible for evaluating transfer credit and determining how the credit will apply to your specific degree program.

The evaluation of transfer credit is based on a review of the comparability of the nature, content and level of the learning experience and its appropriateness to the degree program.

If you're interested in transferring credit, you will need to consult with the UNL academic department associated with your major. In most instances, you will be requested to submit the respective course syllabus.
