The Iverson Lab has two main areas of focus (1) Development of new and improved carbon nanotube sensors for use in biological settings and (2) Utilization of nanotechnology to improve understanding of biological signaling in both healthy and diseased cells. The Iverson Laboratory works in collaboration with many departments across the university as well as the University of Nebraska Medical Center, offering unique experiences for in vitro work with patient samples and in vivo work with both small and large animal models.
