Graduate Research Assistant Opportunities in High Throughput Plant Phenotyping

Two graduate (PhD or MS) positions in high throughput plant phenotyping are available for a January or May 2021 start date in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are seeking motivated graduate students to work on a research project related to the generation, collection, processing, and analysis of high throughput plant phenotyping data in the controlled environments and fields. Students with a background and research interest in sensing and instrumentation, UAV and imaging, GIS analysis, and programming, as well as their applications in plant systems are encouraged to apply. These positions are supported by a NIFA funded project. The graduate degree will also include taking graduate-level courses in engineering and plant science. Tuition, stipend and benefits will be provided for competitive candidates.
